The Equator Prize 2025 recognizes innovative community-led initiatives that showcase effective climate solutions and sustainable development outcomes.

2025 TONY ELUMELU FOUNDATION ENTREPRENEURSHIP PROGRAMME

The Tony Elumelu Entrepreneurship Program (TEEP) offers young African entrepreneurs the chance to receive $5,000 seed capital, business training, mentorship, and access to a network of successful entrepreneurs. This 12-week online program is designed to support startups with high growth potential across 54 African countries. Entrepreneurs will also gain access to further funding opportunities and a global community of innovators.

MajiPreneurs Hackathon 2025 – Calling Young Innovators in WASH!

The MajiPreneurs Hackathon 2025 is a two-day innovation event for young entrepreneurs (18-30 years old) tackling Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) challenges. Participants will form teams of 2-4 members, develop their ideas with expert coaching, and pitch for a chance to win awards at the Majipreneurs Summit in Kampala (April 3-4, 2025). Deadline to apply: March 9, 2025.

CALL FOR APPLICATIONS: The Hive Accelerator Program

The Hive Accelerator is supporting high-growth, locally-led Ugandan startups with mentorship, investment readiness training, and funding opportunities. Selected startups will undergo a three-month accelerator program, with four startups per cohort receiving $15,000 in funding. Apply online by March 16, 2025 for a chance to participate.

Orange Corners Ghana Acceleration Programme 2025

The Orange Corners Acceleration Programme in Ghana is a 6-month business support programme designed to help young entrepreneurs formalize and grow their businesses. Sponsored by the Kingdom of the Netherlands and implemented by GrowthAfrica, the programme offers structured acceleration, mentorship, networking, and access to funding (up to €50,000). Applications for Cohort 10 & 11 are now open.
