Common Fund For Commodities 26TH Call For Proposals.

The Common Fund for Commodities (CFC) invites applications for financial support from projects that aim to transform commodity value chains and uplift smallholder and SME-based enterprises in CFC member countries. The CFC provides a variety of financial and technical support options to empower SMEs, cooperatives, International Commodity Bodies (ICBs), and other institutions, particularly those led by or supporting women in agriculture.

Green Businesses and Jobs for the Green Transformation – Uganda

The Green Businesses and Jobs for the Green Transformation – Uganda program, implemented by GIZ and Stanbic Business Incubator Limited (SBIL), supports female-led businesses in Sustainable Agriculture, Renewable Energy, Circular Economy, and Waste Management. Eligible businesses receive training, coaching, and access to finance to scale their impact. Businesses must be registered, operate in Kampala, Mukono, or Wakiso, and have an annual turnover of UGX 50M+.

Uganda Climate Innovation Facility (UCIF) – Driving Climate-Smart Innovation in Agriculture

The UCIF, funded by the UK Government, supports innovations addressing climate change in Uganda’s agriculture sector. Open to individuals and organizations, the program offers seed funding (£10K–£200K), technical support, and investor linkages. Innovations must be piloted in northern Uganda or refugee settlements. Applications begin with a concept note via the CSJ website.

🇯🇵 AFRIKA meets KANSAI 2025: Business Idea Contest

A Japan-based business idea contest is now open for startups and individuals with innovative solutions to Africa’s social issues. Finalists get to pitch in Kobe with travel covered and cash prizes up to ¥1,000,000. Apply by May 16, 2025.
