Refund and Cancellation Policy

Overview
This policy applies to all paid services offered by Imuka, including accelerator programs, coaching packages, workshops, and membership fees.
General Refund Principles
We strive to provide exceptional value. However, we understand that circumstances change. This policy balances fairness to customers with the resources we commit to delivering services.
Accelerator and Program-Based Services
Before Program Commencement:
- Full refund available up to 14 days before program start date
- 50% refund available 7-13 days before program start date
- 25% refund available 1-6 days before program start date
- No refund available on or after program start date
After Program Commencement:
- No refunds after program begins
- Exceptions may be made for medical emergencies or extenuating circumstances (at our discretion)
- Credit toward future programs may be offered in exceptional cases
Coaching and Mentorship Services
Package Services (Multi-Session):
- Full refund if cancelled within 7 days of purchase and before first session
- Pro-rata refund for unused sessions if cancelled after first session (minus 20% administrative fee)
- Must provide 48 hours' notice for session cancellations
- Unused sessions expire after agreed package duration
One-Time Sessions:
- Full refund if cancelled 48+ hours before scheduled session
- 50% refund if cancelled 24-47 hours before session
- No refund if cancelled less than 24 hours before session
- Rescheduling allowed once without penalty (48+ hours notice required)
Workshops and Events
Cancellation by You:
- Full refund if cancelled 7+ days before event
- 50% refund if cancelled 3-6 days before event
- No refund if cancelled less than 3 days before event
- All refund requests must be submitted in writing
Cancellation by Us:
- Full refund if we cancel the event
- Alternative: Credit toward another event of equal or greater value
- We are not responsible for travel or accommodation costs
Membership and Subscription Services
Monthly Subscriptions:
- Cancel anytime; cancellation effective at end of current billing cycle
- No refunds for partial months
- Access continues until end of paid period
Annual Subscriptions:
- 30-day money-back guarantee from initial purchase date
- After 30 days: pro-rata refund for unused months (minus 3 months as minimum commitment)
- Example: 12-month subscription cancelled after 5 months = refund for 4 months (12 - 5 - 3)
Investment Facilitation and Matchmaking Services
Due to the Customized Nature of These Services:
- Refunds evaluated on case-by-case basis
- 50% of fees are non-refundable after work commences
- If specific deliverables are not met, partial refunds may be provided
- No refunds based on investment outcomes or success rates
Non-Refundable Items and Services
The following are non-refundable:
- Application and processing fees
- Background check and verification fees
- Third-party services or tools
- Completed consulting or advisory services
- Downloaded digital resources or materials
- Services marked as "non-refundable" at purchase
Refund Processing
How to Request:
- Email refunds@imuka.co with your request
- Include: name, email, order/invoice number, reason for refund
- We will respond within 5 business days
Processing Time:
- Approved refunds processed within 10 business days
- Refunds issued to original payment method
- Processing time may vary by payment provider (typically 5-10 business days)
Currency and Fees:
- Refunds issued in original transaction currency
- Payment processing fees (typically 2-5%) are non-refundable
- International transaction fees are non-refundable
Chargebacks and Disputed Charges
Before Initiating Chargeback:
- Contact us first at refunds@imuka.co
- Most issues can be resolved quickly and fairly
- Chargebacks may result in account suspension
Chargeback Consequences:
- Account access may be suspended pending investigation
- Unjustified chargebacks may result in permanent account termination
- We reserve the right to dispute fraudulent chargebacks
Service Credits and Alternatives to Refunds
Instead of a refund, we may offer:
- Service credits for future programs (typically 1.5x the refund amount)
- Transfer to another program or service of equal value
- Extended access to resources or community
- Deferred participation in next program cohort
Extenuating Circumstances
We may provide exceptions for:
- Serious medical emergencies (documentation required)
- Death of participant or immediate family member
- Natural disasters or force majeure events
- Business closure or bankruptcy (for company accounts)
Documentation Required:
- Medical certificate from licensed practitioner
- Death certificate or obituary notice
- Government declarations or official notices
- Business closure documentation
Discretion: All exceptions are granted at Imuka's sole discretion.
Modifications to This Policy
We reserve the right to modify this policy. Changes will not affect purchases made before the effective date of changes. Material changes will be communicated via email.
