About the Program
The WeWork – Green and Decent Jobs for Youth SME Growth Program is designed to support high-potential SMEs by providing expert-driven technical assistance in key areas such as:
Governance
Financial management
Market expansion
Investment readiness
Operational efficiency
This initiative aims to unlock business growth and job creation potential by offering tailored support to eligible SMEs.
Who Should Apply?
The program is looking for ambitious SMEs that meet the following criteria:
✔️ Legally registered (business, social enterprise, or cooperative under URSB)
✔️ Operational for at least two years
✔️ Annual turnover of UGX 80 million or more
✔️ Structured management team
✔️ Committed to business growth and job creation
Priority Sectors & Regions
SMEs in the following value chains and regions will be given priority:
✅ Albertine, Rwenzori, Busoga, West Nile, Kampala Metropolitan:
Poultry, Piggery, Apiary
Renewable Energy, Green Construction, Sustainable Tourism
✅ Busoga, West Nile, Kampala Metropolitan:
Coffee & Cocoa
Sustainable Forestry (Timber & Non-Timber)
✅ Busoga Only:
Aquaculture
✅ West Nile Only:
Cassava, Sunflower, Simsim
SMEs in other sectors related to agriculture or the green economy may also be considered if they demonstrate strong growth and job creation potential.
