The Gender and Economic Agency Initiative (GEA) aims to build evidence on policies fostering women’s work and economic agency. It broadens its exploration of the relationship between economic empowerment and family planning, as well as additional topics in women’s economic agency. Eligible researchers include J-PAL affiliates, postdocs, and invited researchers who are up to date with their J-PAL reporting requirements. GEA provides grants for comprehensive research projects and pilot studies, with deadlines for funding requests set for June 2027 and November 2027 respectively..
