Calling on all women-led businesses looking to grow their business operations, with a proven business model and market traction, and are committed to making significant social or economic impact to apply for the Bold Women Cohort by Mkazipreneur.

The Bold Women Cohort is designed for women entrepreneurs in Uganda, seeking to expand their business development knowledge, increase their impact measurement and financial management skills, be investment ready and make lifelong connections.

If you are a women-led business looking to grow your business operations, with a proven business model and market traction, and are committed to making significant social or economic impact, we invite you to apply through your hub partner on the NSSF Hi-Innovator program.

The Bold Women Cohort by Mkazipreneur is looking for women-owned businesses in Agriculture, Fashion and Beauty, Waste management, Light manufacturing and health.

Selection Criteria

100% completion of the NSSF Hi-Innovator Business academy.

At least one founder must have actively taken part in the completion of the Hi-Innovator business foundational course.

At least 2 founders must be available to fully participate in the Programme activities.

The Business must employ at least 5 full time staff, 50% youth and 70% Ugandan.

The business must have a minimum annual revenue of UGX 10 million per annum, for at least 2 years.

The business must be fully registered with URA, NSSF & URSB (or equivalent).

The business must be NSSF compliant.

The business must have been actively & legally operational in Uganda for at least two years.

The business must be willing to provide a 6% equity stake ownership to NSSF.

The business should be at least 50% or more female-owned.

All women-owned businesses that meet the above criteria across the various sectors are welcome to apply to the Bold women cohort.
