GENERATING GROWTH OPPORTUNITIES AND PRODUCTIVITY FOR WOMEN ENTREPRISES (GROW) PROJECT

GROW is a government of Uganda 5-year project with a Development Objective of increasing access to entrepreneurial services that enable female entrepreneurs to grow their enterprises in targeted locations, including in host and refugee districts.
Through Grow Project, Private sector foundation Uganda is in partnership with several technical training/ skilling and BDS providers to avail free technical training and business development services to women entrepreneurs operating within Uganda. The support focuses on transitioning women enterprises from one level to another business growth and expansion
Targeted Beneficiaries
1. Women doing business
2. Individual female Entrepreneur
3. Groups of women entrepreneurs with related skills/ BDS needs
4.Empoyees of female owned enterprises'
Note: The targeted woman is the one having business / enterprise irrespective whether its formal or informal. This support is not to start a business.
Technical skills to be offered include
1. Agro- Processing and best Agricultural practices
2. Post harvest handling
3. Technological skills
4. Textile related skills and technologies
5. Construction related training fields
6. Manufacturing related fields
7. Business Digitalization training
8. Tourism and hospitality related training
9.Oil and gas related/ specialized training
Business Development services to be provided include
1. Product/ standards certification for both local and international markets.
2. Innovation and product development support
3. Business accreditation and provision of assistance for women companies/enterprises to meet the export/ international standards.
4. Development and actualization of marketing and branding plan
5. Introduction of more efficient and sustainable production/ marketing systems
6. Climate innovation activities relating to business
7. Business formalization and mentorship
