The Neycha Accelerator & Fund (Neycha) advances food system innovators and entrepreneurs who are working towards a more regenerative and agroecological food system in East Africa. This includes input provision, processing, and consumption, contributing to a more holistic and circular agrifood economy.
About Neycha
Neycha identifies and partners with growth-oriented Agroecological Enterprises (AEEs) in Uganda and Kenya, providing them with the capacity, capital, and connections they need to grow their impact and businesses.
Support Offered
- Capacity: Business growth support, agroecology support, and investment readiness through training, mentorship, consulting, and technical assistance.
- Capital: Business loans and revenue-based financing between USD 10,000 – USD 50,000 for working capital, asset financing, and more. Growing AEEs may receive additional capital beyond USD 50,000.
- Connections: Networking opportunities with AEEs in Uganda & Kenya, introductions to potential partners, investors, and stakeholders, and market linkages.
What is an Agroecological Enterprise (AEE)?
Agroecology is a sustainable approach to agriculture that promotes healthy food production while regenerating soil fertility, improving biodiversity, and strengthening farmers’ livelihoods.
Agroecological Enterprises (AEEs) operate across the agricultural value chain, helping farmers transition to agroecology and aligning with its 13 core principles.
